Greece's PPC H1 adjusted EBITDA jumps to €1.24 billion on renewables growth Aug 5 (Reuters) - Greece's biggest power utility Public Power Corporation (PPC) DEHr.AT reported a rise in first-half adjusted core profit, helped by growing renewable energy capacity and contributions from recent investments.
The group's adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed to €1.24 billion ($1.43 billion) in the first six months of 2026 from €996 million a year earlier, while adjusted net income after minorities increased to €374 million from €195 million.
H1 revenue fell 2% year-on-year to €4.55 billion.
Renewable generation increased significantly to 5.8 terawatt-hours (TWh) from 3.2 TWh, representing 52% of PPC's total energy mix, driven by favourable hydrological conditions and new capacity.
Renewable installed capacity stood at 7.3 gigawatts (GW) at end-June, representing 58% of total capacity, and reached 7.8 GW in August on a pro forma basis.
Investments totalled €1.4 billion in H1, mainly in renewables, flexible generation and upgrading of grids.
