ATHENS, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Public Power Corp. (PPC)
DEHr.AT , Greece's biggest power utility, said on Wednesday it
would take all appropriate steps to defend its rights in a case
of alleged breach of EU antitrust rules.
EU antitrust regulators on Wednesday charged PPC of selling
electricity in the wholesale market below cost to exclude
rivals.
PPC said that the allegations related to a period before the
redesign of Greece's power market and the utility's
transformation into a modern company.
"PPC will continue to cooperate with the Commission and take
all appropriate and necessary steps to defend its rights," it
said in a bourse filing, adding that it had cooperated with the
Commission throughout the case and would continue to do so.
