Australia's Redflow hits 3-month high on $2.8 mln US contract

** Shares of Redflow RFX.AX rise as much as 8.7% to
A$0.250, highest level since June 2
** Energy solutions co says has signed a $2.83 mln contract
with the United States Department of Defense (DOD) to deliver a
prototype microgrid using Redflow non-lithium long duration
energy storage (LDES) system
** Deployment and commissioning of system is planned for the
second half of 2024
** Stock set for best day since Aug. 1, if gains hold
** 273,044 shares change hands, compared with the 30-day
average volume of 108,553
** Stock has risen 7% YTD, as of last close
