UK's Renewi jumps on $887 mln takeover bid by Australia's Macquarie

** Shares in UK-listed waste management firm Renewi RWI.L
surge 43.7% to 796p, its highest in nearly three months
** Asset manager Macquarie MQG.AX and Renewi reached a
preliminary deal on a takeover of Renewi for 700.9 mln pounds
($886.64 mln)
** The offer price of 870 pence per share represents a 57%
premium to Renewi's closing price on Wednesday
** Stock on track for the best intraday percentage gain
since Oct. 2023
