March 30 (Reuters) - Riga Sugar Company Ltd RIGA.BO : * Riga sugar company -exclusive license held by co for country liquor manufacturing in Muzzafarpur zone till March 31, 2019 will be withdrawn * Riga sugar company - co will stop manufacturing country liquor and selling rectified spirit from distillery in Riga, Sitamarhi, Bihar from April 01 * Riga sugar company -from April 01, 2016 distillery of the company will only produce and sale ethanol * Riga sugar company - has been awarded contract for supply of 7014 Kl of ethanol worth 345 million rupees * Source text: Riga Sugar Company Ltd has informed BSE that as per New Bihar Excise Policy, 2015 the production and sale of country liquor in the state has been banned from April 01, 2016. Accordingly the exclusive license held by Company for country liquor manufacturing in Muzzafarpur Zone for the period till March 31, 2019 will be withdrawn and Company will stop manufacturing country liquor and selling Rectified Spirit from its Distillery Situated in Riga, Sitamarhi, Bihar from April 01, 2016. From April 01, 2016 Distillery of the Company will only produce and sale Ethanol. For this the Company has participated in tender of Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) and has been awarded contract for supply of 7014 KL of Ethanol worth Rs. 34.5 Crore to be supplied from April 01, 2016 to November 30, 2016.
