UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Sept 23

Sept 23 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100  .FTSE  index is seen
opening 19 points higher on Thursday, according to financial
bookmakers.
    
    * HSBC Holdings PLC  HSBA.L  expects the debt problems
involving embattled property developer China Evergrande Group
 3333.HK  to have an impact on capital markets but does not see
any direct impact on the bank, its group CEO said.
    * BLUEBELL CAPITAL: Activist investor Bluebell Capital
Partners has taken a stake worth about 10 million euros in
British pharmaceuticals group GlaxoSmithKline  GSK.L  in efforts
to shake up top management, a Financial Times report said on

    * UK MINISTERS: The lorry driver crisis will not be resolved
in time to prevent disruption at Christmas, UK government
officials conceded, The Telegraph reported on Wednesday.

    * REGULATORS: Regulators will monitor how Britain's furlough
scheme ends this month for signs of distress among consumers,

    * GOLD: Gold prices dipped as the dollar strengthened after
the U.S. Federal Reserve signalled a withdrawal of its asset
purchases by next year and a sooner-than-expected interest rate

    * OIL: Oil prices rose, extending strong gains overnight
with fuel demand growing and crude stocks declining as
