** India's NSE Nifty 50  .NSEI  and S&P BSE Sensex  .BSESN 
up 0.7% and 0.9%, respectively; volatility index  .NIFVIX  up
12% 
    ** Financial services stocks  .NIFTYFIN  add 1.4% while
Nifty Bank  .NSEBANK  and Nifty Private Bank  .NIFPVTBNK  gain
1.7% and 1.4%, respectively
    ** Nine out of 13 major indexes trade in the green 
    ** Top gainer in NIFTYFIN, ICICI Bank  ICBK.NS  rises 3.7%
to record high post results, while SBI Life Insurance  SBIL.NS 
trims early gains, last up 0.3% 
    ** Top losers on Nifty: Apollo Hospitals  APLH.NS  on
disappointing valuation of unit, HCL Tech  HCLT.NS  on
lower-than-expected FY25 outlook  
    ** Bourse operator BSE  BSEL.NS  sheds 13% after markets
regulator seeks change in fee structure
    ** More domestically-focussed mid-caps  .NIFMDCP100  and
small-caps  .NIFSMCP100  up 0.3% each
