STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN rose 385.79 points, or 0.52%,
to 74,115.95, while the broader NSE index .NSEI gained 63.6
points, or 0.28%, to 22,483.55, supported by financial stocks
after post-results gains in SBI Life Insurance and ICICI
Bank .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN weakened 0.09% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 83.42 per dollar, pressured by weakness in its
Asian peers. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN071833G=CC was quoted at 99.86
rupees, with the yield up 1 bps at 7.1994%, and with traders
expecting sideway moves with a slightly bullish bias. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INRAMONMI1Y= was up 1
bps at 6.86%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate
INRSMONMI5Y= rose 1 bps to 6.56%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money INROND= rate was up 5 bps at
6.70%. The overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 6.70%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.7038%.
