MUMBAI, April 29 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN rose 904.95 points, or 1.23%,
to 74,635.11, while the broader NSE index .NSEI gained 220.65
points, or 0.98%, to 22,640.6 as post-results gains in ICICI
Bank and SBI Life Insurance lifted heavyweight financials. .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN weakened 0.16% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 83.47 per dollar, pressured by month-end dollar
demand from importers, while weakness in major Asian currencies
also hurt the local unit. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN071833G=CC was quoted at 99.95
rupees, with the yield unchanged at 7.1852%, ahead of the Fed
policy decision on Wednesday. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INRAMONMI1Y= was down 1
bps at 6.84%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate
INRSMONMI5Y= fell 1 bps to 6.54%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money INROND= rate was unchanged at
6.65%. The overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 6.68%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.7038%.
