U.S. stocks were set to open sharply lower on Friday as consumer prices rose
more than expected in May, dashing hopes that inflation is peaking and fanning
worries about more aggressive steps by the Federal Reserve to tame it. .N 
    
    At 9:07 a.m. ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were down 1.27% at 31,852. S&P 500
e-minis  ESc1  were down 1.43% at 3,958.75, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were
down 1.63% at 12,074.5.
