U.S. stock indexes were flat on Friday as focus turned to next week's Federal
Reserve meeting, while technology and growth- exposed sectors gained after
inflation data calmed fears over a long-term spike in consumer prices. .N
At 12:33 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.35% at
34,344.35. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.09% at 4,235.33 and the Nasdaq
Composite .IXIC was up 0.01% at 14,022.353.
