    Italy reported 336 coronavirus-related deaths on Wednesday
against 422 the day before, the health ministry said, while the
daily tally of new infections rose to 12,956 from 10,630 the day

    The leader of Italy's 5-Star Movement said an online party
vote over whether to support a government led by former European

    Treasury sells 2.5-3.0 billion euros zero coupon BTP bonds

    The Italian bank on Wednesday posted a larger-than-expected
quarterly loss after writing down the value of its investment
banking business, as Chief Executive Jean Pierre Mustier stepped

    UniCredit said on Wednesday its board had appointed co-Chief
Operating Officer Ranieri de Marchis as general manager after

    Banking union FABI said on Wednesday it and the other unions
had reached an agreement with the bank over 148 employees that
would be moved to Banca Popolare di Puglia e Basilicata as part
of the planned sale of 26 branches located in southern Italy.

    Bank of Italy Governor Ignazio Visco on Wednesday called for
a speedier judicial system in the country to help banks to

    The Detroit Three automakers and the United Auto Workers are
working on plans to make coronavirus vaccinations available to
auto factory workers when supplies are available, UAW President
Rory Gamble said on Wednesday, adding that Stellantis had begun
vaccinating workers at one of the company's U.S. factories.

    The infrastructure group's minority investor TCI welcomed
the EU Commission decision to look into the Italian government's
handling of a dispute over the group's motorway unit, a document

    Atlantia said on Wednesday that traffic on its motorways in
Italy was down 17.3% year-on-year last week, while passenger
traffic at airports in Rome fell 88%.

with those of rival Open Fiber under a vertically-integrated
model but such combination has to be assessed in full compliance
