** Shares of regional lenders largely mixed after a few
banks report quarterly results
    ** Shares of Western Alliance Bancorp  WAL.N  up 20.3% as
brokerages remain optimistic after Q1 profit beat 
    ** WAL hits nearly a month-high, set for its biggest one-day
gain since Nov. 9, 2020
    ** U.S. Bancorp  USB.N  climbs 1.4% and is among top gainers
on the S&P 100  .OEXA  index on better-than-expected Q1 profit
    ** Fellow banks PacWest Bancorp  PACW.O , Zions
Bancorporation NA  ZION.O  and First Republic Bank  FRC.N  trade
higher between 2% and 9%
    ** Zions to report Q1 results after the bell
    ** Bucking the trend, Citizens Financial Group Inc  CFG.N 
slides 3.6% after Q1 results disappoint
    ** Financial holding firm Fulton Financial Corp  FULT.O 
slides 3.6% on Q1 profit miss 
    ** Peers PNC Financial Services Group Inc  PNC.N  down 0.4%
and Simmons First National Corp  SFNC.O  flat 
    ** KBW Regional Banking index  .KRX  down 22% YTD
