the Chinese internet company reports better-than-expected Q1
revenue and profit
** Stock among top pct gainers across U.S. exchanges
** Q1 revenue falls 5% to $431.4 mln, but beats estimates of
$400.96 mln, according to IBES data from Refinitiv
** Co reports adj. loss of $1.39 per American Depository
Share, narrower than analysts expectations of $1.48
** Expects total revenue in Q2 to be between $469 mln and
$494 mln, while analysts were expecting $450.6 mln
** SOHU up ~2% this year
