SPI surges on upbeat 2022 revenue expectations

** Shares of renewable energy co  SPI.O  surge 28.2% to
$3.64 in premarket trade
    ** SPI on Friday said it expects revenue of $200 mln to $220
mln in 2022, above average analysts' expectation of $201 mln -

    ** "Our residential solar business is expected to remain a
primary revenue driver in 2022, with EV sales accelerating as

    ** Total assets up 5.4% at $228.8 mln in 2021
    ** SPI down 21.3% YTD
