The S&P 500 and Dow fell on Tuesday, dragged down by a string of earnings
disappointments and doubts about a coronavirus stimulus package before Election
Day, although Nasdaq rose ahead of results from mega-cap technology companies

    At 12:25 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.21% at
27,626.17. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.11% at 3,404.76 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.64% at 11,431.183.
