Up on joint venture to build agriculture company

** SPI Energy shares  SPI.O  rise 11.2% to $3.79 after co's
unit enters joint venture agreements to form an agriculture co,
tentatively named "Knight Holding Co Ltd" (KHC)
    ** The new co would focus on agriculture business for
production, sale and marketing of cotton, Alfalfa and other

    ** Co says KHC to be formed by its unit SPI Investments
Holding Ltd, Jacky Lo and Harbor Green Grain L.P.
    ** Under the agreements, SPI's unit will have a 60% stake in
KHC, which will be incorporated in Cayman Islands
    ** SPI Investments to initially invest cash of $500,000 in
KHC 
    ** Including today's gains, stock up ~343% YTD
