SLUGGISH STOXX

The STOXX 600 .STOXX is having a bit of a slow start to the week, last trading 0.1% lower on the day, with markets jittery about the outlook for the Middle East and energy prices, and on edge about what European Central Bank policymakers might have to say about the interest rate outlook later this week.

Other major regional indices are similarly sluggish with the FTSE .FTSE just below the flatline, and the CAC .FCHI just above it. The DAX meanwhile is down 0.3%.

Oil and gas stocks .SXEP are leading gains, up 1.3%, while media .SXMP and healthcare .SXDP names lag - both are around 1.1% lower.

In single stock moves, shares in sustainable technology company Tomra Systems TOM.OL are down close to 7% after France rejected plans to implement a mandatory deposit return system.
