** British asset manager Aberdeen Group ABDN.L sold 52 million ordinary shares in SDLF at 839 pence per share, for gross proceeds of about £436 million ($575.4 million)** Aberdeen now holds about 5.2% of Standard Life's issued share capital
** Up to Wednesday's close, stock had risen 18.2%
