** Shares of renewable energy companies Sunworks Inc
 SUNW.O  surge more than three fold and those of Polar Power Inc
 POLA.O  jump 62% in premarket trading   
    ** A surge in renewable energy stocks comes on the heels of
California state planning to ban the sale of new
gasoline-powered passenger cars and trucks starting 2035, in a
bid to reduce climate-warming emissions by shifting to electric

    ** The state has a broader goal of reducing greenhouse gas
emissions by 80% from 1990 levels by 2050
    ** Up to Wednesday's close, SUNW had fallen 7.2% and POLA
down 19% YTD
