Australia's Strike Energy rises on gas supply deal with Santos

** Shares of Strike Energy Ltd  STX.AX  rise as much as 4.6%
to A$0.340 - on track for best day since Dec 7, if gains hold
    ** Gas producer says it entered into five-year gas supply
agreement with Santos Ltd  STO.AX  
    ** Says co and Talon Energy Ltd  TPD.AX , JV partner for
Walyering gas field in Perth Basin, will supply 36.5 petajoules
of gas to Santos 
    ** Santos shares rise as much as 1.3% to reach A$7.190 and
Talon shares climb as much as 3.1% to A$0.165
    ** STX up 58.5%, STO up 12.5% and TPD up 6.7% YTD, as of
last close
