** Tamilnad Mercantile Bank  TAMI.NS  jumps 3% in early
trade
    ** Stock set for best day since late April   
    ** India's central bank approved appointment of Salee
Sukumaran Nair as MD, CEO of the bank for three years        
    ** Nifty Small Cap 250 index  .NISM250 , which TAMI is a
part of, is up 1.2%
    ** Still, TAMI is down 8% so far in 2024 vs 25% jump  in
NISM250
