BERLIN, July 10 (Reuters) - The review of critical
components in Germany's 5G mobile networks is progressing and
will be complete soon, the interior ministry said on Wednesday
in response to local media reporting a principle agreement had
been reached with operators.
Deutsche Telekom DTEGn.DE , Vodafone VOD.L and Telefonica
Deutschland O2Dn.H have agreed with German government
officials that the nation's core network of 5G data centres
should be free of technology made by companies such as Huawei
HWT.UL and ZTE 000063.SZ in 2026, newspaper Sueddeutsche
Zeitung as well as broadcasters NDR and WDR said in a joint
report.
A decision had been made on how to proceed, a ministry
spokesperson told Reuters.
