Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC (the "Company")

Update on the Company's holdings in Russian companies

Further to the announcement issued on 3 March 2022.

Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, our thoughts are first and foremost
with the victims of the humanitarian crisis that is unfolding, as we monitor
the resulting economic and market implications for the Company and its
portfolio holdings.

The Company continues to hold securities in the following five Russian
companies:

 Holding
 Lukoil PJSC
 Yandex NV
 VK Co Ltd
 Sberbank of Russia PJSC
 Gazprom PJSC

All holdings in the above table are in foreign listed securities (either
primary US listing or ADRs/GDRs).

In accordance with established Fair Value policies and procedures each of
these securities is currently valued at zero for the purposes of calculating
the Company's Net Asset Value.
