** U.S.-listed shares of Canadian drug maker
Theratechnologies TH.TO THTX.O fall 25.4% to $1.38 premarket
** THTX says the U.S. FDA has extended its review beyond the
target date of Jan 22, on a more concentrated formulation of
co's drug Egrifta SV
** Egrifta SV is approved for the reduction of excess
abdominal fat in HIV-infected adult patients with lipodystrophy
** Lipodystrophy affects the redistribution of fat that
includes the accumulation and loss of fat in certain parts of
the human body
** The drug is also being tested as a potential treatment
for a fatty liver disease called metabolic
dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH, formerly known as
nonalcoholic steatohepatitis or NASH)
** Up to Monday's close, stock has fallen 53.3% in the last
12 months
