ISTANBUL, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and
events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Thursday.
    The lira  TRYTOM=D3  traded at 9.5290 against the dollar at
0412 GMT, after closing at 9.4920 on Wednesday.
    The main BIST 100 share index  .XU100  rose 0.67% to
1,519.25 points on Wednesday.
    
    GLOBAL MARKETS
    Global stocks eased from record peaks as a stark reminder of
supply chain snags in corporate earnings reports stalled their
rally, while investors also looked to whether central banks may
consider tightening monetary policy earlier than

    ERDOGAN PROGRAMME
    President Tayyip Erdogan will attend an opening ceremony of
a park in capital Ankara (1100 GMT). Erdogan will then chair the
central administrative committee of his AK Party and attend a
ceremony afterwards (1300-1700 GMT).
    
    INFLATION REPORT
    Turkey's central bank will announce its quarterly inflation
report and is expected to raise its inflation forecasts after it
had earlier predicted annual CPI would rise by only 14.1% at
end-2021 and 7.8% at end-2022 (0730 GMT). 
    
    TOURISM STATISTICS
    Turkey will announce tourism revenues for the third quarter
while it will also announce the foreign arrivals data for
September (0700-0800 GMT)
    
    U.S.-TURKEY
    Top advisers to U.S. President Joe Biden and Turkish
President Tayyip Erdogan spoke on Wednesday about defense issues
and how to resolve disagreements, the White House said, days
after Turkey's leader threatened to expel U.S. and other

    CENTRAL BANK DATA
    The central bank will release its weekly data, including on
forex reserves.
        
    COVID-19    
    Turkey logged 26,896 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, health
ministry data showed. Turkey recorded 210 deaths from the virus
in the same period.
