TOKYO, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Tohoku Electric Power 9506.T
temporarily halted operations of the No.2 reactor at its Onagawa
nuclear power plant in northern Japan as planned, the company
said on Sunday.
This is a planned halt for about ten days to check the
safety of facilities and equipment, according to the company.
The Onagawa plant reopened in October, for the first time
since the 2011 nuclear disaster due to a devastating quake and
tsunami that triggered a meltdown at three of six reactors at
Tokyo Electric Power Co's 9501.T Fukushima Daiichi plant.
