Wall Street's main indexes fluctuated between small gains and losses on Thursday as investors analyzed a fresh round of labor market data to fine-tune expectations for a much-anticipated Federal Reserve rate cut next week. .N

At  10:30 EST, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.05% at 47,909.04. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.01% at 6,848.85, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.05% at 23,442.55.
