Feb 16 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1030 GMT on Friday:

    ** Shares in Swiss packaging firm Aluflexpack  AFPD.S 
surged by more than 80% after it said Austrian peer Constantia
Flexibles had made a takeover offer for the company.

    ** Gabon's national oil company has agreed to acquire
Carlyle's  CG.O  Assala Energy after it used its right to
preempt the sale of the business for $1.3 billion to France's
Maurel & Prom, the firms said.

    ** Italian financial group Unipol Gruppo  UNPI.MI  announced
 an offer for the 14.75% of UnipolSai  US.MI  it does not
already own, valuing the insurer at 7.64 billion euros ($8.23
billion) in a deal aimed at simplifying the group's structure.

    ** ABB  ABBN.S  will acquire U.S. company SEAM Group, the
Swiss engineering group said, in a deal designed to expand its
services in electrification.

    ** French energy company Maurel & Prom  MAUP.PA  said it
will not acquire Carlyle's  CG.O  Assala Energy in Gabon as the
Gabonese national oil company signed a share purchase agreement
with Assala.
