The following factors could affect Italian markets on Tuesday.

    ECONOMY
    ISTAT releases September retail sales data (0900 GMT).
    Bank of Italy releases October data on Target 2 liabilities
and European Central Bank funding to Italian banks.
    DEBT
    Italy's Treasury announces sale of BTP bonds, with relative
amounts to be auctioned on Nov. 11.
    Treasury said on Monday it would sell 5.5 million euros in
12-month bills at Nov. 10 auction.
    COMPANIES
    BPER BANCA  EMII.MI 
    Italy's fourth-largest bank posted a better-than-expected
third-quarter net profit, helped by a rise in core revenues
boosted by the recent acquisition of rival Banca Carige.
    ENI  ENI.MI 
    A unit of the Italian energy company has been assigned two
1-million-barrel cargoes of Venezuelan diluted crude oil for
November loading, according to a document from state-run PDVSA
seen by Reuters. 
    Sonatrach and Eni have started production at the HDLE/HDLS
oil field in Algeria's Berkine basin at 10,000 barrels of oil
equivalent per day, the Algerian company said on Monday.

    Anima Holding  ANIM.MI  does not expect to strengthen its
partnership with the state-owned lender in the near term, Chief
Executive Alessandro Melzi D'Eril told analysts on Monday.

    The shipbuilder said on Monday its core profit (EBITDA) fell
to 172 million euros in the first nine months of this year, from
330 million euros an year earlier.
