BUZZ--UNIQA Insurance rises as P&C premiums boost earnings ** Shares of Uniqa Insurance Group UNIQ.VI are up 2.2% after the Austrian insurer's property and casualty business drove higher Q1 earnings
** The company's consolidated net profit rose by 7.5% to €128 million ($149 million) in the quarter
** That was driven by a 19.5% increase in premiums in the P&C segment, which accounts for more than two-thirds of Uniqa's overall business
** Erste analysts say that within the P&C segment, reinsurance business Uniqa Re performed particularly well, also due to seasonal effects
** "Overall, earnings momentum remains intact," Erste adds
** The shares, up around 8% YTD, are on track for their best day in three weeks if the gains hold
