VMWare gains after UK regulator provisionally clears $61 bln deal

** Shares of cloud computing firm VMware  VMW.N  rise 4.2%
to $165.10 premarket while shares of US chipmaker Broadcom
 AVGO.O  edge up 0.6% to $908.39 before the bell
    ** Britain's competition regulator provisionally clears
AVGO's $61 billion deal to buy VMware; says it would not weaken
competition in the supply of critical computer service products
    ** AVGO had also secured conditional EU antitrust approval
about the deal on July 12
    ** Britain's regulator is going to submit final report by
Sept. 12 
    ** Up to last close, stock up ~29% this year
