Brazil finance ministry requested analysts on end of golden share

SAO PAULO, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Brazil's government has
requested legal and financial analysis on relinquishing the
right to veto certain strategic decisions in a few companies
that are or were privatized.
In a Wednesday statement to Reuters, the ministry said it
had requested the state auditing court to gauge how the
government could exit the so-called golden share it holds in
former state monopolies that have been partially or fully
privatized in recent years. The note did not say when or why the
ministry requested such analysis from the court known as TCU.
The news was first reported by Valor Econômico newspaper
earlier in the day. urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nL2N1LN0IV
