("Wentworth" or the "Company")

Result of 2023 Annual General Meeting

Wentworth (AIM: WEN), the independent, Tanzania-focused natural gas production
company, advises that at its Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), held earlier
today, the results of the poll conducted at the meeting were as follows:

The Board notes that in respect of a number of resolutions more than 20 per
cent. of votes cast were against the resolution.  Should the proposed
acquisition of Wentworth by Etablissements Maurel et Prom S.A. not proceed the
Board will engage with major shareholders to understand their concerns and
take steps in the future to address those concerns.  The Board will update
shareholders accordingly.
