Senior Management Appointment

Today XLMedia (AIM: XLM), a global digital performance publisher, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Dorward to its Global Executive Committee as President - North America.

XLMedia is currently consolidating and rebalancing its publishing portfolio, with a greater emphasis on regulated and high-potential markets, to deliver more sustainable and predictable growth.

This key appointment is aimed at accelerating the Company's progress outside Europe, with a particular focus on the significant opportunity in North America in the Personal Finance and Sports markets, through the building of strategic partnerships and the acquisition and development of content-rich, highly engaging sites.

Most recently Ken was COO and CFO of Rakuten Advertising, a performance marketing, media and data insights subsidiary of Rakuten Inc.  In this role, Ken led the global publisher partnerships team, managing relationships with thousands of internet publishers across the globe, including loyalty sites and apps, digital media and content providers, and bloggers and influencers.  Prior to this, Ken was a co-founder of Uncommon Content Partners, specialising in the production and distribution of content across web, television and other multi-media channels.

Stuart Simms, Chief Executive Officer of XLMedia, commented:

"I am very excited to have Ken join the XLMedia team.  Ken has a deep understanding of our industry and a proven track record of delivery.  This is another step in the execution of XLMedia's transformation strategy to deliver the next phase of growth.

I, and the rest of the team, very much look forward to working with Ken to drive rapid progress outside Europe, and to begin to make material inroads into the attractive US Personal Finance and Sports markets."

Notes to Editors:

XLMedia is a leading global digital performance publisher. Operating globally across a variety of verticals including online gambling, personal finance, sports and technology, the Group uses proprietary tools and methodologies to identify and target high value clients for platform operators.

XLMedia has a clear transformation strategy, which will enable it to shape the future of the performance publishing industry.  As previously communicated, the Company has set three Strategic Goals:

·    Consolidation of publishing assets

The Company will consolidate its range of publishing assets, focusing its resources on a core set of premium sites in its chosen markets.  XLMedia will seek to build stronger relationships with consumers through content-rich, engaging websites, underpinned by intelligent market-leading technology which enhances the yield from each interaction.  This rebalancing of the portfolio will be supported by organic investment, disposals and acquisitions.

·    Investment in US Sports and Personal Finance

XLMedia has identified North America as a core target market, where it has already established a solid foothold in Personal Finance, led by content-rich websites which are gaining traction.  The Company will seek to further develop its Personal Finance presence and significantly increase its investment in the burgeoning US Sports market through partnerships and acquisitions.

·    Further Investment in regulated markets

The Company is seeking to generate an increasing proportion of its revenue from more stable, regulated markets, both within current serviced verticals, such as gambling and personal finance and, over time, within additional target segments, where its core skills and scale can provide competitive advantage.
