Zenova FX fluid is forever chemical, PFOA / PFOS / PFAS certified compliant

Zenova Group PLC the innovative fire suppression and interdiction solutions
company, is pleased to announce that Zenova FX fluid and its components have
recently been independently tested by external laboratories and that the
Zenova FX range of extinguishers conforms to all current regulations and
planned EU regulations regarding PFOA, PFOS and PFAS.

PFOA Regulation

EU 2017/1000 restricts the production, use and emission of PFOA (C8). Under
this legislation the maximum levels are set as

·      PFOA 25 ppb (parts per billion)

·      PFOA 1000 ppb

Foam concentrates may be used for firefighting with the following time limits:

·      Up until 31st December 2022 when containment is not possible, and

·      Up until 3rd July 2025 when containment is possible.

Zenova FX fluid PFOA and PFOS compliance

The Zenova FX fluid test results using the EP231X standard targeted testing
show that PFOA and PFOS are reported less than the LOR (Limit of Reporting)
0.02mg/kg, equivalent to less than 20ppb.

The Zenova FX extinguisher range is fully compliant with PFOA and PFOS
regulations and are legal to use even after the 3rd July 2025.

The Zenova FX fluid test results using the EP231X standard targeted testing
show that PFOA are reported less than the LOR (Limit of Reporting) 0.02mg/kg,
equivalent to less than 20ppb.

PFAS Regulation

European Chemicals agency (ECHA) has submitted a proposal calling for a
maximum of 1ppm (parts per million) of currently regulated PFAS for fire
extinguishing liquids. This proposal is still under discussion and is expected
to be finalized and approved in 2025.

Zenova FX fluid PFAS compliance

The Zenova FX fluid test results using the EP231P targeted test methods show
that the trace elements of regulated PFAS are at 0.007mg/kg or 7ppb (parts per
billion).

The 7ppb PFAS elements in the Zenova FX fluid are far below the proposed
maximum limits of 1ppm for restriction of PFAS being considered by the ECHA.

Zenova FX extinguisher range are fully compliant with the proposed ECHA
legislations and are legal to use even after this legislation is passed.

increase the temperature within a building by 75% to 90%. Zenova IP has been
independently tested and validated to deflect, absorb and dissipate up to 75%
of this heat, thereby reducing the inside temperature by up to 45%.  Suitable

Zenova IR, thermal insulation render

Zenova IR is a ready mixed insulation render that can be applied to internal
and external walls in commercial and residential buildings to provide
immediate insulation benefits and can be colour matched to any colour.

 

Zenova FX, fire extinguishers

A fire extinguisher like no other. It puts out class A, B, F and electrical
fires fully tested against European EN3 as well as British standards.
Available in 6 and 9 litre sizes.

 

Zenova FX500, aerosol fire extinguisher

The Zenova FX500 is a high-performance handheld fire extinguisher that is
tested by independent experts and adheres to the highest industry
standards.   Safe for use on any type of fire the Zenova FX500 reduces the
risk of reignition. The Zenova FX 500 is quick, easy and safe to operated and
has been tested to BS6165 standard.

 

Zenova WB, wildfire barrier

A wildfire barrier fluid (applied via spray wands or aerial drops), which
provides a virtual barrier where fire simply will not burn. Repeated tests on
a variety of extremely dry wildfire fuels (grasses, hays, brush) demonstrates
the incredible fire resistance Zenova WB provides, while remaining viable
after application for30+ days in dry conditions.
