The Nasdaq led gains among the main U.S. stock indexes on Monday as Microsoft
climbed on news that former OpenAI head Sam Altman will join the software giant,
while investors awaited more clues on when the Federal Reserve might begin
cutting interest rates.  .N 
    
    At 10:39 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.21% at
35,021.28. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.27% at 4,526.04 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.44% at 14,186.93.
