Passing of Brent Villemarette, Non Executive Director
 
It is with great sadness that the Board of 88 Energy Ltd (88E) acknowledge the passing of Brent Villemarette, one of 88 Energy Ltd's Directors. Brent's passing was unexpectedly sudden; however, was related to a known health condition.
 
Brent was a loyal servant to 88 Energy Ltd, and its shareholders, through several tumultuous periods and was a key figure in the successful rebirth of the Company.
 
With over 35 years of resources sector experience in petroleum engineering, his career highlights included senior technical and management roles principally with Apache Energy Corporation and subsequently with start-up companies; Latent Petroleum and Transerv Energy and, significantly, his time with 88 Energy Ltd (formerly Tangiers Petroleum Ltd at the time of his appointment to the Board).
 
Our deepest condolences go out to Brent's wife, family and friends at this very difficult time. He will be sadly missed by the Board and the team at 88E.
 
Managing Director, Dave Wall, commented: "Brent was pivotal in steering the previous iteration of 88 Energy Ltd through an extremely difficult period and his dedication was unwavering, despite the adversity.
 
He also provided support and advice to me, personally, and his insights and gentle manner will be greatly missed. "
