India's Aarti Surfactants rises on jump in Q2 profit

** Shares of Aarti Surfactants  AARU.NS  rise as much as
10.2% to 658 rupees, highest since Sept. 25 
    ** Stock set to rise for a fourth straight session, if gains
hold
    ** The manufacturer of surfactants and specialty products
said its Q2 consol net profit jumped multi-fold to 47.4 mln
rupees ($569,283.89) from 3.2 mln rupees a year ago, on fall in
expenses
    ** More than 96,000 shares change hands by 9:52 a.m. IST,
10.2x 30-day avg
    ** Stock traded most since Sept 5
    ** AARU up 6.4% as of 9:52 a.m. IST, reversing YTD move to
positive territory
