ZURICH, April 22 (Reuters) - ABB ABBN.S CEO Morten Wierod said on Wednesday that he is "very bullish and very optimistic" about the market supplying components for data centres, with no signs of a slowdown in demand.
"The whole data centre business around the world, both in Asia, Europe, but of course, especially in the U.S., it's going at a high pace," he said after ABB reported its first-quarter earnings.
"When you're looking into the 2030 time horizon, we continue to see a very strong market demand. So I don't see any kind of slowdown or any changes," he added.
ABB generated 9% of its revenues from data centres in 2025 and has been increasing its sales in this area by an average of more than 35% per year since 2019.
Wierod said he expected 2026 would see growth at a similar level.
