Abionyx jumps on 'promising' findings for COVID-19 treatment candidate

** Shares in Abionyx Pharma  ABNX.PA  jump 10% after the
company announced positive results for its COVID-19 treatment

    ** The French biopharmaceutical company said CER-001 limits
inflammation effects in acute inflammatory conditions, such as
COVID-19
    ** Results suggest recombinant HDL (high-density
lipoproteins) infusions are a potential therapeutic strategy to
be explored in COVID-19 patients, Abionyx said in a statement
    ** "Promising publication in the treatment of COVID
patients," Midcap Partners analysts wrote in a note
    ** They added the results reinforce effectiveness of HDL on
inflammation in models of bacterial sepsis, and thus validate
the company's development strategy
