Italy's Acea drops after media report on Suez mulling stake sale

Adds Suez declines to comment in 3rd bullet

** Shares in Italy's Acea ACE.MI fall 8% to its lowest since mid-July, after local media reports Suez mulls a sale of its stake in the regional utility

** French group Suez, currently the second largest shareholder, is considering selling its 23.33% stake in the Rome-based utility, newspaper Milano Finanza reports

** Acea was not immediately available for comment, while Suez declined to comment when asked by Reuters

** "If the news was to be confirmed, the sale of the stake could represent an opportunity for new investors... although, not knowing the eventual sale method, it could create an overhang effect on the stock," Equita analysts say

** Those at Akros also echoe the limited visibility on the potential disposal, given that Suez's shares in Acea account for around 50% of the company's free float
