POLITICS
Italy's government will offer targeted tax breaks to help
farmers facing hardship, a minister told parliament on
Wednesday, looking to provide support to the sector amid a wave
of protests across Europe.
A Turkish citizen has been sentenced to 20 years in jail in
Italy for his part in a migrant shipwreck last year in which at
least 94 people were killed, Italian media reported on
Wednesday.

Treasury announces sale of BTP bonds, with relative amounts
to be auctioned on Feb. 13.

The company's directors on Wednesday mandated CEO Pietro
Labriola to negotiate with the Treasury over a new offer for
submarine cable unit Sparkle after deciding a proposed full
takeover bid was too low.

Italy's Treasury is considering selling an 8-10% stake by
June, although there is no unanimous agreement within the ruling
coalition, daily MF said.

its dividend for 2023 as higher interest rates boosted its
profits.

The asset manager said on Wednesday it had recorded net
outflows worth 470 million euros in January.

The automaker could assign a new Citroen model to Italy's
Pomigliano plant as early as March, daily Mf said citing
"rumours".

ExxonMobil XOM.N and Qatar Energy are expected to sign an
agreement in the next few days to exit Adriatic LNG - Italy's
main LNG import terminal - by selling their combined 80% stake
to Vitti Energy Partners, a consortium made up of the global
energy trader Vitol with the Australian fund Ifm and Adnoc,
which would value the asset at 750-800 million euros, MF said.
Snam, which holds 7.3% of the terminal, could exercise its right
to increase the stake to at least 20-22%, the newspaper added.

Rome's utility is talking with Eni's Plenitude on the
potential sale of its Acea Energia unit, which has 1 million
customers and is valued at 300-400 million euros, daily Il Sole
24 Ore said. However Acea denied the report, while Eni did not
comment, the newspaper added.

Italy's Moratti family has been approached by potential
buyers of a stake in the refinery group, Bloomberg News said on
Wednesday.
