6.Content of the report: "...the Agency Against Corruption has received a
report that it is suspected that an official received a bribe in a Hsinchu
County Education Development and Information Institute procurement case...."

7.Cause of occurrence:

The company hereby states the following:

Acer strictly adheres to applicable laws and regulations in all jurisdictions
that it operates in.  The report that mentions" Acer's Hsinchu branch office
is suspected of issuing false invoices to collaborating distributors after
winning the bid…" is inaccurate and there were no false invoices issued.
Acer has actively cooperated with the authorities and respects the judicial
process, but due to the confidentiality of the investigation, we are unable to
comment further. Additionally, the report mentioning Mr. Han" being dismissed
from the position of chairman of Acer Synergy Manpower" is also inaccurate.
Mr. Han resigned from the position due to his workload, and the company
appointed another representative to take his place.
