Acer starts drug trials for a type of prostate cancer, shares rise

** Shares of Acer Therapeutics Inc  ACER.O  rise 3.7% to
$2.70
    ** Co initiates two mid-stage investigator-sponsored trials
evaluating its drug ACER-801 in men with a type of prostate
cancer
    ** The two trials, POSH-MAP and PORT-MAP are to evaluate the
ability of the drug to reduce hot flash frequency and suppress
testosterone production, respectively 
    ** The trials are being sponsored and conducted by the
University of Kansas Cancer Center in partnership with co
    ** ACER-801 is also being studied to offer a potential
treatment option to improve menopausal related vasomotor
symptoms (VMS) like hot flashes and night sweats
    ** Stock gained ~10% in 2022
