** Kepler Cheuvreux initiates French biotech company Acticor
ALACT.PA with "buy", citing encouraging data for its
"best-in-class" drug candidate glenzocimab for thrombotic
disorders, which is localised clotting of the blood
** Initial preclinical and clinical data show a very safe
profile for glenzocimab, as well as high potency to decrease
platelet aggregation and increase fibrinolysis, the brokerage
notes
** Kepler forecasts glenzocimab's potential peak sales of
about 1.5 billion euros ($1.69 billion) in all indications in
2036 and a first marketing approval in 2027 in the EU/U.S.
** Upcoming results for ongoing clinical trials in
glenzocimab should be serve as catalysts, as results from phase
II study in Covid-19 and from Ib/IIa of ACTIMIS are expected for
Q1 2022, it adds
** It notes that three clinical trials are currently
underway to assess the potential of glenzocimab for early
treatment of strokes and COVID-related acute respiratory
distress syndrome
** Three other sponsored studies will start from first half
of 2022 to assess the safety of the drug candidate in strokes
associated with thrombectomy, pulmonary embolism and in
myocardial infarction, it adds
($1 = 0.8851 euros)
