** French video game maker Ubisoft UBIP.PA rises 3.5%
after UK antitrust regulator said it's favourable to Microsoft's
MSFT.O restructured acquisition of Activision Blizzard
ATVI.O that would see Ubisoft pick up Activision's streaming
rights
** Activision agreed to sell the streaming rights to Ubisoft
in August in a new attempt to win over the Competition and
Markets Authority (CMA)
** Alphavalue analysts say this is positive news for
Ubisoft, but notes the price Ubisoft will pay for the rights
remains a key question
** The broker says that due to the rights sale being
integral to the takeover, Ubisoft's bargaining power has been
strengthened
** The rights acquisition would support recurring revenues
while "strengthening the appeal of its Ubisoft+ cloud streaming
offering", Alphavalue adds
** The Ubisoft stock has climbed about 35%, or about 10
euros, in value since February
