Australia's Calix gains on govt funding for lime project

** Shares of mineral processing firm Calix Ltd  CXL.AX  rise
as much as 7.1% to A$7.53, their highest value since May 9
    ** Says awarded A$11 mln ($7.71 mln) grant from the
Australian govt as part of its technology investment roadmap for
low emissions lime project in Western Australia with project
partner Adbri  ABC.AX   urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nASX2PjFXn
    ** Funds to be used for next stages of project including
finalisation of commercial terms and further technical work
    ** Co also received payment of A$5.2 mln from the govt
associated with its research and development tax incentive claim

    ** More than 596,000 shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of about 539,000 shares
    ** Stock has risen 5.7% this year, as of last close,
compared with a 3.5% decline in the S&P/ASX 200 index  .AXJO
