Jefferies says 2022 Medicare rules positive for home health, radiology services

** Brokerage Jefferies says new rules for Medicare are
positive for home healthcare companies such as Amedisys Inc
 AMED.O , Encompass Health Corp  EHC.N  and Addus Homecare Corp
 ADUS.O  as reimbursement rates go up 2.5% in 2022
    ** Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released three
rules late Tuesday that set Medicare rates for 2022 (https://go.cms.gov/3byW8RX)
 (https://go.cms.gov/3k3BWMt) (https://go.cms.gov/3EKkCUT)
    ** For radiology firms such as RadNet Inc  RDNT.O ,
reimbursement cut is lower at 1% compared to the 2% initially
proposed in June, says brokerage
    ** New rules are modestly negative for ambulatory surgical
companies such as Surgery Partners Inc  SGRY.O  and Tenet
Healthcare Corp  THC.N  as payment rates increased 2% vs 2.3% in
proposed rule, says brokerage
    ** SGRY shares up 12% in thin pre-market trade volumes and
AMED down 5%; other stocks were not trading at the time of
publishing
