       Nov 21 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 2100 GMT on Tuesday:
    
        ** A private equity consortium including Permira and
Blackstone  BX.N  on Tuesday said they plan to acquire
eBay-backed online classifieds group Adevinta ASA  ADEA.OL  for
about 141 billion Norwegian crowns ($13.1 billion), in one of

    ** Broadcom  AVGO.O  said it planned to close its $69
billion acquisition of cloud computing firm VMWare  VMW.N  on
Wednesday, wrapping up one of the biggest takeover deals in the
technology industry that was closely scrutinized by regulators

    ** Italy attracted strong interest from funds when it sold
25% of Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS)  BMPS.MI  for 920 million
euros ($1 billion) on Monday, advancing plans to re-privatise

    ** EU antitrust regulators will decide by Dec. 22 whether to
clear Swedish private equity group EQT's 4.46 billion pound
($5.6 billion) takeover bid for British veterinary

    ** Merck & Co  MRK.N  will acquire Caraway Therapeutics for

for a cancer therapy that is ready to enter early-stage trial

    ** Telecoms and cable group Altice France said it had agreed
to partner with Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners with the
sale of a 70% majority stake in its data centre business, as the

    ** South Africa's third-biggest telecom company, Telkom
 TKGJ.J , said that it is in exclusive negotiations with a
preferred bidder on the possible sale of its masts and towers

Monday it will spin off and merge its government consulting

    ** OpenAI's board of directors approached rival Anthropic's
CEO about replacing chief Sam Altman and potentially merging the
two AI startups, according to two people briefed on the matter.

near eight-week peak after it agreed to buy Canada-based Cuprous
